30some years ago Christine Boecker entered her uncle's Travel Agency as a travel agent apprentice - not knowing Sidney, B.C. from Sydney N.S.W. Ever since then Christine has been driven to explore the wonderful world we live in. Whether it be travelling through the hot and dry Kalahari Desert in a safari vehicle, or in the cold and windy Canadian Arctic on a Russian Icebreaker -- and many memorable places in between!

Christine Boecker C.T.C. (Certified Travel Counselor) was born in South Africa, lived and worked in Africa as well as Europe and settled in Vancouver, B.C. 17 years ago. Experienced in all aspects of the travel agency, her first-hand travel knowledge and attention to detail will create a trip you’ll talk about – at home, at work and with your friends – for a very long time!
TRAVELBOECKER ADVENTURES is a full service travel agency and operates as a division of Personal Travel Management Ltd, a B.C. registered, licensed & bonded travel agency that keeps your travel dollars safe and insured, in case of an unforseen closure of airlines or tour operators. PTM also belongs to several industry associations, such as ACTA - the Association of Canadian Travel Agents,
the Business Practices & Consumer Protection Authority (BPCPA), (IATA), the International Air Transport Association and the Ensemble Group (a network of 2000 independent travel agencies), which gives us the buying power, networking ability and other advantages of the larger chains, while retaining the personal contact and hands-on approach of a small company.
The name TRAVELBOECKER is a derived from the profession and last name of the owner. Sometimes it is spelled incorrectly as travelboeker.com. But whether it is written as Boeker or as Boecker with the 'c' - it is pronounced like "Travelbooker", which is effectively what we are and what we do best!
Christine Boecker enjoys getting involved in the community and is the founding member and director of marketing for German Kids Richmond, a language school dedicated to keeping the German language and culture alive in our children.
Feeding her passion for children, Christine is a qualified Parent Educator and Course Facilitator for the Neufeld Institute, offering parents a new, yet intuitive way to make sense of their children.
Christine also sponsors Richmond Ringette, SOS Children’s Village, Hoops for Hope and the Canadian Network for International Surgery, as well as community events such as the annual Steveston Salmon Festival. She volunteered on the organizing committee of the Steveston Farmers & Artisan Market, chaired the South African Business Network Group, was membership director for the German Canadian Business Association and member of the Vancouver Board of Trade.
